The Crisis Center provides Junction City with 24/7 free and confidential services, including safe shelter, support helplines, crisis intervention, medical, personal, and court advocacy, police response advocates, supportive counseling, support groups, child and parent advocacy, as well as community awareness and education opportunities. The Crisis Center serves Clay, Geary, Marshall, Pottawatomie, and Riley counties, and the Fort Riley military installation. The Crisis Center, Inc. was founded in 1979 and incorporated in 1981 with a mission to provide free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Crisis Center's mission is centered around helping community members who are in need find safety, security, and a life free from violence.
